Croatian Post (HP) Mostar has traditionally issued two commemorative stamp series featuring flora and fauna motifs.

The “Flora 2025” issue contains two stamps depicting medicinal plants — common comfrey and elderberry. The leaves and roots of comfrey are used to treat wounds as well as various digestive disorders, pneumonia, and other ailments. Black elder or elderberry tea is used to treat respiratory diseases, diabetes, and rheumatic conditions. It helps lower high body temperature and acts as a diuretic. The flowers are used to make syrup, while the ripe berries are used in preparing marmalades and wine. The design author of the issue is Tamara Herceg.

The “Fauna 2025” issue, created by Magdalena Džinić Hrkać, consists of four stamps depicting marine and terrestrial snails. The Triton’s trumpet and the barrel snail are the largest snails in the Adriatic Sea and belong to rare and protected species. The name Triton’s trumpet is linked to the Greek god Triton, son of the sea god Poseidon, who blew into a shell like a trumpet to raise and calm the waves. The barrel snail has a rare feature — it can produce light (luminescence) as it moves through water with its foot fully extended, glowing with a greenish hue. The Roman snail is one of the largest land snails, while the striped garden snail is one of the most common terrestrial snails in Europe.
