Croatian Post Mostar has traditionally issued two commemorative stamps with flora and fauna motifs.
„Flora 2026. “shows motifs of spring flowers, violets and snowdrops. The violet (Viola) is a flowering plant from the family Violaceae with a distinctive and pleasant scent. It is widespread worldwide and currently has over 470 recognized species. It has a short stem on which flowering and leafing occur simultaneously.
The snowdrop (Galanthus) is a genus of plants from the family Amaryllidaceae. It is called the herald of spring because they appear while snow is still on the ground. The stamp design author is Vijeko Lučić.
Zoran Vlašić is the author of the “Fauna 2026.” stamp design that consists of 4 stamps with motifs of endangered wild cats. The tiger (Panthera tigris) is the largest cat species in the world. It lives in Asian jungles and on the islands of Sumatra and Java. The cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) today lives almost exclusively in Africa. It is the fastest land mammal. The leopard (Panthera pardus) is a slender and agile cat that lives in Africa and Asia. Its base fur colour is yellow or reddish-brown and is interspersed with irregularly distributed dark ring-like spots.
