Croatian Post Mostar has issued the regular stamp issue for “Medjugorje 2026.” on the occasion of the Catholic IT Conference – ITM 2026.
The parish of Medjugorje was canonically established on May 1, 1892, and dedicated to the patron saint of pilgrims, St. James. Since June 25, 1981, following the testimony of six children regarding the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary - Queen of Peace, Medjugorje has become a pilgrimage site of prayer and reconciliation. Its fruits are visible throughout the world, and with the emergence of IT - Information Technology, the space for sharing information has been raised to another level – the connection between technology and spirituality.
The first Catholic IT Conference in Medjugorje, where the Medjugorje Catholic IT community was founded, was held in 2024 and served as the foundation for creating new connections and achieving a common goal.
The third Catholic IT Conference – ITM 2026 is being held from March 5 – 8, 2026, under the theme “The Fusion of Technology and Spirituality in Medjugorje”. It brings together experts, priests, and innovators to explore how artificial intelligence and digital tools can support human dignity and spiritual growth. Under the patronage of the Queen of Peace, lectures, workshops, testimonies, and prayers are held, combining professional development, technological innovations, and spiritual growth.
The stamp design’s author is Zdravko Terkeš with the first day cover on March 5th, 2026. This stamp issue, as well as previous issues may be purchased at www.epostshop.ba .
